Shameless request for smypathy

So, last night Trav and I had Lucy Lu, some of the girls and Mel Gibson over to practice some karate and general action movie moves.

As luck would have it, Gail ended up at the ER with a possible dislocated shoulder.

The good news is -- no dislocation, and no broken bones. Right now it seems to be just a very significant strain, but I see the ortho doc on Tuesday.

(The bad news is that my fledging career as an action hero figure is over before it started.)

I'd like some sympathy because without the pain meds I can't function well physically. (My shower today would probably make millions on the funniest videos show.) With the pain meds, when I'm not vomiting, I can't function mentally. (Some will say that's a given, I know.)

AND, I haven't bothered any of you with horrific story of getting a flat on Monday. In the rain. On 75 with asshat drivers paying NO attention to my emergency flashers. Or the fact that the wheel bearing need to be replaced. OR the fact that one flat on my car = new treads all around.

It's been a bad week and I would appreciate virtual cookies. Chocolate chip warm from the oven, please.

Sorry to hear about your predicaments - with Trav around, I figgered you wouldn't need to indulge in action hero behavior quite as often as the rest of us do. Oh well, about all I can do is offer you the rest of the cookie I've been enjoying.

The bright spot in all of this is that the guy who fixed my car is decent and fair. I would recommend him.

Gae, coming off rotator cuff surgery...I sympathize. Many bad hair days here, only using one arm.

Dr Hess over at Wellington Group(Cheviot Rd) is a really good shoulder doctor. They also have PT offices. I almost have full motion back...and working on strength. Should be playing ball by Spring.

BTW....if you have to get MRI(I highly suggest since x-ray do not show tears) there is a new Open MRI place across from White Oak Shopping Center. Quick in and out and your films are done quickly so you can take with you.
